Good Girl Trap
Cracking open the Good Girl trap…..
Illustration: Hierophant Sarah Mathilda Stewart
Ostara Blessings, Happy Spring Equinox dear ones.
This image, landed in my path and hypnotised me yesterday - then I read the title ‘Hierophant’ and took a vacum inhale through my mouth and paused.
What…. On the day of welcoming the rising current of spring, lifeforce, nurturance, birthing energy, springing forward….
The hierophant the name of this above illustration, leading through exerting power, representing order, rules and regulations. Stolen power from another? A submission of feminine energy to masculine power. We see this patterned over and over in supremest over culture.
The Good Girl Gap….
Let’s be clear - the long overarching paradigm that is alive and strong - governs us to extract and commodify from ourselves and at sole cost to ourselves.
The up sell - meet the standard. Be ‘the good one, successful one…- within bodies with wombs this presents as ‘good girl compliance’. Submersible
Toxic Productivity - reinforced with ‘warrior, brave, strong, super powered’ if we charge on at all costs to ourself. The back story is your worth is your productivity - and you are replaceable so don’t slip up.
The message is to undermine our natural innate intellegence - to keep doing above all else. The guilt and shame around ‘wanting success - power, And the resulting harm - to ignore the signs and signals from your body.
Where are internalised rules constraining?
What rules are we afraid of breaking even when they go against our truest nature?
In the Vortex chaos, of oppressive powers and heinous acts, creativity is the energy of change, of generative renewal, mirrored to us over and over by great mother…. Spring is her Revival.
A Beginning.
As Spring Rises.
Reclaimation of the feminine wisdom is a gesture, a bow, and an emboldening of our own true power.
Spring rising, is a turning to the creative power expanding from the centre of newness, beginnings, birth. From the Chaos.
Mother Knows. The goddess Knows.
To reconnect with the land and where we came from. This is what we see across matriarchal lineages and indigenous culture. The reciprocal relationship with the land, the goddess, the divine.
To honour and place care, community and rest at the centre of our ways of being. As vital as necessity to overturn the oppressive productivity-worth cycle.
To tend the sacred flame, to make a gesture of connection, an offering in itself to respecting the reciprocal nature of our existence.
Come Gather and illuminate this connection. A remembering, together.
Magic happens when we gather together in-person. Lets revive our senses, our homebody, and our connection in celebration of Mother, divine feminine,
Fierce love and Courage
